VISC 202: ELEMENTS OF TYPOGRAPHY (type 1)
Typography is one of the principle tools of the visual communicator. The goal of this class is to understand the fundamental elements of typography, begin to familiarize you with typography in its many aspects, and prepare you for future course work.

I would say 3 - 4 projects for the semester ...
biggest thing is hierarchy, scale, contrast... building in complexity and different media and formats
Personal Monogram or some typographic mark exploration / brand (shortish project)
Photographer Magazine Article or LongRead some sort of project that deals with a lot of text
Font poster or Font Zine
Could do Motion if you want famous speech
could do that project you did with the freshman about a speaker (poster, social...)
one year we did this project about a conference at the end it is super intense but fun
Modular Font <- you can do this if you want
Modular Grid <- spring 2022 did this so don't repeat it in Fall 2022
Publication <- spring 2022 did this so some sort of publication but but not this one
